Medical Account Solutions’ programs have helped healthcare organizations in various ways. The following case study is just one of the many successful programs we have implemented. This case study describes how we increased the value of receivables for an acquired hospital client.
Value of Receivables:
Acquired Hospital
Facility:
A 216 bed hospital in a rural setting was in the process of being acquired by a large health care provider system.
Challenge:
The client wished to exceed cash values of the hospital receivables offered by acquiring a health system while maintaining the goodwill of the community.
Solution:
Medical Account Solutions’ employees, most of whom are Certified Patient Account Technicians, are highly trained and skilled in receivables management, and were able to uncover insurance information that was not identified previously. This resulted in our ability to significantly increase cash flow for the hospital.
- Our state of the art computer system screens all accounts for accurate coding, correct diagnosis and procedure codes, etc., before being submitted to all insurance carriers to insure prompt payment.
Results:
- Medical Account Solutions exceeded the offering value of the hospital receivable by 30%.
- Total collection effort was 95% of the $14 million dollars of collectable accounts receivable.
- In addition, Medical Account Solutions maintained the goodwill of the community in our adjudication of the accounts.

Great job in saving that hospital from being acquired. I am sure more facilities would like their cash flow expectations exceeded. I think it is a no brainer, if you are a doctors office or a medical facility you should be calling Medical Account Solutions to see how they can save your office or facility money.
Sounds like an impressive turn around. Nice job. I am curious what the turn around time was from the time the Certified Patient Account Technicians came onto the scene until they uncovered the insurance information?
Thanks
